Aer Arann – Ireland’s Award-Winning Airline

Aer Arann is currently Ireland's leading regional airline — having recently announced figures showing it carried almost 250,000 passengers on its route network for the first quarter of 2005.

The figure is an increase of 19 per cent on the same period the previous year.

Passenger figures on the airline's Waterford routes showed an increase of 65 per cent — reaching over 12,000 for the first three months of the year.

The airline also announced it had carried just over 50,000 passengers to and from Galway Airport for the first quarter of 2005 — an increase of 22 per cent on the previous year.

Aer Arann currently operate two routes from London Luton airport to Galway in the west of Ireland and also Waterford in the south east of Ireland.

From May 9 both services will operate twice daily seven-days-a-week.

Aer Arann is presently operating with an on-time performance rate of 91 per cent on its services — well above the average of 88 per cent.

The airline was also recently awarded the European Bronze Airline of the Year Award for 2004 by the European Regions Airline Association.
