| Six Nations previews Scotland
- England
February 25 Murrayfield 5.30pm
The Calcutta Cup clash
has added significance this year. Scotland’s defeat of France and
ill-luck against Wales marks them down as a decent side.
England even without Josh Lewsey are a formidable outfit and with Martin
Corry likely to return they have a full squad.
Scotland need to win games in the pack — an area where England give
little away.
Andy Robinson’s men should have too much firepower and are confidently
expected to overcome a gallant Scotland.
Verdict: Away win
France - Italy
February 25 Stade de France 3pm
Coming after a performance against Ireland that was better than retrospect
has cast it France will be looking to enhance their Grand Slam credentials.
Both sides major asset is in the pack and it could be an attritional contest
for much of the 80 minutes.
Italy are obviously improving but with both sides at full strength its
hard to see beyond a win for Les Blues. Anything other than a wide margin
defeat will leave Italy seriously happy.
Verdict: Home win
