O’Shea is strong candidate for centre
As expected, Steve Staunton named an Irish squad full of youth and inexperience
ahead of his touchline debut against World Cup-bound Sweden on March 1.
He has been true to his word in giving young bucks, such as Stephen Ireland
and Joey O’Brien, their first call-ups, also naming 22-year-old
Brighton goalkeeper Wayne Henderson and Reading star Kevin Doyle.
