Moran’s Mayo future in doubt

Reports of player unrest are threatening to block Mickey Moran’s reappointment as Mayo football manager.

The Derry man was expected to be reinstalled as manager for a second year at the next County Board meeting but this has been cast into doubt amid reports that senior players were unhappy with the team’s preparation during the year.

Moran and his assistant John Morrison traveled over 300 miles to training sessions last season though some feel they that didn’t spend enough time in the county.
