Connacht’s quest to get into the Heineken Cup took a turn for the better in the Sportsground on Friday night.

Despite leading from as early as the third minute Michael Bradley’s side almost threw away all four points in second-half injury-time when Scarlets fly-half Rhys Priestland kicked his side into an 18-17 lead.

However, an 84th minute penalty from out-half Andy Dunne saw Connacht snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and increase their lead over Ulster.
