| Domestic prices force home buyers
to look overseas PROPERTY prices in Britain and the North of
Ireland are forcing first-time buyers and established home owners alike
to consider buying luxury property abroad.
Caroline Murphy, Sales Manager of Dream Overseas Property in Brookeborough
in Co. Fermanagh, confirmed that her firm was getting more enquiries from
people who are unable to get onto the property ladder in the North and
are interested in buying abroad.
She reported her Irish overseas property buyers were split in to two camps.
The luxury market which includes mainly coastal properties in Spain,
Turkey and Bulgaria and the capital city market Paris, Sofia and Budapest
where people are buying apartments and commercial property to rent.
CEO of Homesgofast.com Nicholas Marr said: “We are increasingly
approached by buyers who have been on the British property ladder for
years. They see the next move up on the ladder not worth the expense and
are looking at luxury property abroad instead.”
