The voice of Wuthering Heights has cited some of her Irish musical influences by revealing her playlist to Songlines World Music Magazine.

And it features Mna Na hEireann by Sean O’Riada, Ceoltoiri Chualann & Sean O’Se.

The second-generation Irish singer says: “I listen to this and hear my ancestors calling me. An achingly beautiful song, sung with complete honesty and a depth of feeling I’ve seldom come across.”

Her playlist also includes Tolka Polka by Donal Lunny, of which she says: “I defy anyone to listen to this and not want to get up and dance. This is a fabulous example of how exciting Irish music can be, and I am a great admirer of Donal’s work.”
