Best of Irish at film festival
The Toronto International Film Festival is playing host to three Irish feature films giving the world a glimpse of what Ireland’s movie industry has to offer.
Neil Jordan’s Breakfeast On Pluto, Billy O’Brien’s Isolation and Perry Odgen’s Pavee Lackeen have received their premieres at the top festival in Canada.
The chair of the Irish Film Board James Morris said it was a fantastic achievement for the growing film industry in Ireland.
He said: “To have three Irish feature films selected for Toronto is a huge achievement for the Irish film industry. It demonstrates both the high quality of talent working in the industry and the growing international audience for Irish film.”
The festival runs until September 17. |
