McCabe to visit Irish Book Fair

By GRAINNE McLOUGHLIN

Many top Irish writers will be coming to The Irish Book Fair at Hammersmith Irish Centre on Saturday, March 11.

Among the highlights are an appearance from Pat McCabe —author of the Butcher Boy and Breakfast On Pluto which have both been made into feature films directed by Neil Jordan.

Billy Keane son of the late great Irish writer John B Keane is coming to read from his own debut comic novel The Last Of The Heroes and writer Eugene McCabe will be reading from his acclaimed book of short stories Heaven Lies About Us.

Elsewhere John Banville, Brian Dillon and Kate Thompson won top prizes at the inaugural Irish Book Awards in Dunloghaire last week.
