The star of Woody Allen’s hit movie Match Point Jonathan Rhys Meyers has certainly proved he’s around for the long haul.

The Golden Globe winner is set to join forces with Keri Russell in director Kirsten Sheridan’s impending film August Rush.

Meyers first worked with Russell on the third Mission Impossible and the film marks Sheridan’s second film after Disco Pigs — her directorial debut.

The Corkman is also set to present an award at this year’s Meteor Ireland Music awards this week.

He will join a list of guest presenters on the night including Keith Duffy, Steven Rea and Kerry Katona.

The awards show — which will be hosted by comedian Patrick Kielty at Dublin’s Point Theatre — will feature performances by The Pogues, Damien Dempsey, Jamie Cullum, Westlife and The Darkness.
