Louis buries hatchet after bust-up

Irish music mogul Louis Walsh has made up with his former X Factor colleague Simon Cowell following a bust-up between the two when Walsh was fired from the show.

The Mayo man claimed Cowell had axed him as a judge from the hit ITV1 show without telling him.

But the pair are reported to have hugged and made up during a recent recording of This Is Your Life when Walsh appeared on set for the presentation of the Big Red Book to the American Idol judge.

Before hugging Walsh, Cowell said: “I humbly offer a groveling apology Louis.”

Walsh then said: “Listen honestly, he’s the best. He’s a really good guy and we’ve had amazing success with our artists (including Westlife and Shayne Ward) so far. And we’re going to have a lot more with our records.”

Walsh said later: “All is forgiven. Forgiven but not forgotten”, but Cowell insisted: “Let’s just say forgiven, alright?”

The This Is Your Life tribute to Simon Cowell is due to be screened on Saturday, June 2 on ITV.
