| Ireland’s magical location
Moves
and shakers in the Irish film industry will be no doubt rubbing their
hands together in delight at the news that their small island is being
considered as the location for the filming of the next film in The Chronicles
of Narnia series.
The next film Prince Caspian is the sequel to the hugely-anticipated box
office hit The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
And Ireland is certainly in the running.
One source said: “The location scouts have been in Ireland for two
weeks. They have also been looking at sites in Britain.”
With The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe costing more than €200million
to make in New Zealand and later netting a staggering €600million
since its December release it would certainly give Ireland’s film
industry a welcome boost.
