FACE OFF!

Hollywood hunks Colin Farrell and Cillian Murphy could be sparring for a top movie gong next month.

Both stars are rumoured to be in the final shake-up for a Best Actor plaudit in their home country. Movie insiders say both Colin and Cillian will make the shortlist for the coveted nod at the Irish Film and Television Awards which take place in Dublin next month.

Farrell is likely to make the grade for Miami Vice, while Cillian could be up for two nominations in the same category — for his leading roles in Breakfast on Pluto and The Wind That Shakes The Barley.

The actors worked together on hit Irish movie Intermission and are good friends. They are even poised to team up again in a big-screen adaptation of Flann O’Brien’s classic novel At Swim-Two-Birds, which is currently in development.
