Coventry prepares for Rose of Tralee

GIRLS — fancy being a Rose Of Tralee?

Well, now’s your chance.

The date for the Coventry heat of the competition has been announced.

And the winner could find themselves heading to the famous festival in Co. Kerry to compete for the title of International Rose Of Tralee.

The Coventry selection evening takes place on April 26 in the city’s Christ The King Parish Centre.

And organisers Annemarie Keane and Karen Muldowney are promising a night to remember.

The event starts at 8pm with music and entertainment on the night while the evening will be compered by Bernard Keane — vice-president of the Provincial GAA.

Applications are now open for girls who want to compete for the chance of being named Coventry Rose Of Tralee for 2008.

Anyone who wants to take part should contact Karen or Annemarie on 0121 603 2365.
