Camden Festival previews

The next preview concert for the 2007 Return to Camden Town Festival will take place on July 13 at the London Irish Centre.

Featured artists are: The London Lasses and Pete Quinn, Sinead and Nuala Hayes with Laurie Harper and the 2007 Young London Fleadh winners.

The London Lasses have already brought their unique sound to some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and concert halls.

Their third album, Enchanted Lady, was released in England in March this year and launched in Ireland at Ceiliúradh an Earraigh (Celebration of Spring) traditional music festival in Gurteen, Co. Sligo, on May 6 2007.

Sinead and Nuala Hayes are sisters from Corofin, Co. Galway, who both reside in London. They teach the fiddle (Sinead) and flute (Nuala) and adjudicate at fleadhs. They are accompanied on guitar by Laurie Harper.

The winners of the Young London Fleadh are: Tim Dowd (uilleann pipes), Orla McAuliffe (flute) and Darren Breslin (accordion).
