Dublin’s Savoy cinema played host to Neil Jordan’s hugely anticipated film Breakfast on Pluto last week.

The film, which explores the life and times of an Irish transvestite in London in the 1970s, is adapted from Pat McCabe’s novel of the same name.

It’s not the first time Jordan — famous from the Crying Game and Interview With The Vampire — has taken a liking to McCabe’s work. He directed the movie version of McCabe’s book The Butcher Boy.

Cillian Murphy stars in the film alongside an impressive Irish cast including Brendan Gleeson, Stephen Rea and Liam Neeson.
