Birmingham dance school celebrates victory

ONE Irish dancing school was celebrating after returning from Killarney, Ireland last week.

The Kidd School of Irish Dancing in Birmingham won gold in the Junior Under-16 Ceílí Competition at the All Ireland Championships held in Killarney.

Twenty-two teams were entered including teams from Ireland, England and America. This is a prestigious event held yearly.

The team who hold the Great Britain title in this age group are now keen contenders for the World Championships to be held in April in Glasgow.

The principal of the school Ann Kidd was delighted with the award as were the girls.

The school holds classes weekly in Sutton Coldfield and Erdington.
