Finally on track for Vacation

Well, I have finally sat down and figured out when I am planning my trip. Its still a year away, but I am so excited!! I'm planning to finally get over to Ireland next July. I'm planning on staying about a week (6/8/11 to 6/18/11). I plan on starting out around Dingle and then seeing where things take me. I have started taking Irish lessons for when I go visit, so yeah, I am getting VERY EXCITED about going.

What do the irish think about irish americans?

I know in the United States there are many people of irish ancestry who identify themselves as irish americans. It is the second largest ethnic group in the United States. Since the United States is composed of many different ethnic groups many people place their ethnic origin in front of their nationality. I have had friends who identify themselves as Japanese Americans, African Americans, German Americans, English Americans, etc

Mar '10 Saw Doctors Tour Australia
Top Irish Band, The Saw Doctors will travel down under in March, for their first tour of Australia in seventeen years, starting at the Fly by Night Club in Perth on Thursday March 4, and finishing up in Byron Bay at the Bangalow Bowling Club on Saturday March 20.

At Noon at Seattle's F X McRory’s Restaurant, Washington Governor Christine Gregoire, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels and other dignitaries will issue proclamations of Irish Week 2009.

Mar 13 ST PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
On Saturday, March 13, 2010, Seattle's St. Patrick's Day Parade travels north on 4th Ave from Jefferson to the reviewing stand at Westlake. Parade closing ceremonies are in Center House at the Seattle Center at approx. 2:30 pm.

Mar 14 MATT TALBOT CENTERDINNER
This annual fundraiser is for Seattle’s downtown Homeless Program named for Dubliner Matt Talbot. In 2010, it will be held on Sunday evening, March 14, from 6-9 pm. We completely close down F X McRory’s Restaurant to raise funds for the homeless and annually raise in excess of $30,000.
