Officially Announce Deal
THE Irish and U.S. governments have officially unveiled the new extended
J visa deal that will allow a minimum of 20,000 Irish students and recent
graduates to live and work in the U.S. for one year.

IRISH business owners and members of the New York GAA are pleased with
the announcement last week by Minister Micheal Martin that 20,000 new
visas will allow young Irish to come to the U.S. legally on an annual
basis for one year.

at 7 a.m. Irish time on Tuesday announced it was placing an unlimited
two-year guarantee on all deposits and certain debt in six Irish banks.

Lottery Starts
THE annual DV green card lottery (DV-2010) begins this week on October
2, and concludes on December 1 at noon. As in previous years, applications
can only be lodged electronically through the State Department's DV website.
