When we made the decision to leave Ireland one year ago for a new life in the U.S. we kinda had a plan. We left with the intention of staying for at least 3 years. This, we figured should be enough time to decide whether or not we would stay permanently. This is what we told our boys, what we told our friends and family, this was the plan.
